Free crochet hippo pattern
A free amigurumi pattern to make an adorable hippo. The finished toy makes a gorgeous gift for kids. You only need basic crochet skills for this project.

- Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold Tweed (grey) and Alize Cotton Gold (beige)
- Hook size: 2.0 mm
- 8 mm safety eyes
- A piece of grey felt
- Fabric glue
- Black and white embroidery floss
- Sewing needle and scissors
- Fiberfill
Abbreviations:

sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
BLO = back loop only

Assembly
Sew ears at the distance of 12 st from each other.
Cut out two 7-8 mm circles from felt and glue to the head.
Sew cheeks to the head.
Embroider eye whites with white floss.
Embroider mouth, eyelashes and brows with black floss.
Sew head to the body.
