    Hi, I have tried to complete the head but it never turns out to be a round sphere when I get to row 19. It’s like half of the head is missing. Any suggestions as to how I am reading the pattern incorrectly?

    Are you doing rows 9 thru 14 as 48 stitches each? That’s 6 rows of 48 before you start decreasing.

      I’m not sure if you still are interested, but you do 6 rows of single crochet.All single crochets no increases or decreases

    The pattern calls for fasten off the head. Can you give me some direction as to what that means?

      like tying off, cut the yarn with a bit of a tail and you can sew it in a bit or just stuff it in the head

      Depends on how big you want it. I’m using red heart super saver the 7oz skiens of yarn (dual strains) and I should have a enough to complete one bear. So it all depends on size of skien and what type of yard you use. Super saver doesn’t bleed when washes and when it’s washed and dried with a dryer sheet or two it’s becomes super soft.
