I’m having trouble with the Frill part.
After doing Round 1, I can’t figure out where I do the “Dc in same st” part.
Help! Is this a Turning Chain Piece?
    I’m so confused -_-‘

Hi Kristal, just saw you question, and yes it is a turning chain, this pattern lacks information especially for assembly. Good luck

  2. Melissa says:

Where do you place the eyes and also what size do you suggest using?

    • April Klor says:

I put mine right before and right after the half doubles and I used 8mm eyes the 5 was too tiny

    • Lily says:

This person in the pattern seems to use beads not safety eyes, but i used 9mm eyes with a 3mm hook for my yarn

I’m having trouble with the tail. Row 14- (7sc, np). What is np? Thank you in advance.

  4. Sue Slinde says:

Need assembly and stuffing instructions…where to place the eyes, attach frill, etc

sorry i have a trouble with the head. in round 13 it says 18 sc but there is space only for 10. and in total they would be 22, not 30 again.

How much yarn does this pattern require?

Thank you for sharing this fun pattern. I managed to get one done. Look forward to perhaps a Brontosaurus pattern soon?

    Love this pattern.

The biggest alteration I would suggest would be in the frill. I found the second round confusing, it works better to do 2 double crochet stitches, increase, and repeat that progression. I also found that the body turned out to be a bit longer than I wanted, which I didn’t realize until I had put it all together. I would suggest doing up to round 22, then excluding rounds 23-24 for a slightly more plump dino.

Additionally, I used chenille yarn so that my dino could be big and huggable. No regrets, it turned out beautifully. I’d assume this pattern is friendly to most mediums. It took me about 215 yards for the body, and maybe 20-30 yards or so for the frill/horns. Not sure how that would change when using normal yard versus the chenille I had.

10/10 would recommend, but be aware that some alterations may be needed for the pattern.
